COVID-19: We are committed to health and safety. For 2021 Season updates click here.

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the Idaho Shakespeare Festival!

We rely on our volunteers to assist managing the front of house for each performance throughout the summer. Under the direction of our House Management Team, volunteers may help by ushering, taking tickets, handing out programs, showing patron hospitality, sharing general theater information, cleaning the theater before and after a performance, etc. Volunteers will be able to watch the evening’s performance from the general admission section of our theater, and are able to take advantage of discounts in the Souvenir Boutique and Café Shakespeare!

  • Corporate and civic groups turn this into a great team-building opportunity!
  • Individuals and families can sign up with other Friends of Shakespeare to join us on one of our predetermined evenings!
  • Under our safety and insurance policies: Volunteers must be 14 years or older to be eligible to join. All volunteers under 18 must also be accompanied by an adult throughout the evening.
  • Many of these tasks will require standing for extended periods of time, and some may require the ability to lift upwards of 45 pounds.
  • Check out this year’s Volunteer Information Sheet (in the menu on the right) for more volunteering details!

By the time we finish a season, we have utilized the talents of over 1,400 volunteers!

To all our volunteers (past and present): Thank You for helping us make great theater in the great outdoors!

Please note: If the message “form not available” appears below we have filled all of our volunteer nights for the season.  If you’d like to be on our back-up list please call our box office at 208-336-9221. Thank you!
